about the broward county gator club

The Broward County Gator Club®, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, is an official affiliate of the University of Florida Alumni Association,  and serves as the heart of the Gator Nation in Broward County, Florida. 

​

The Broward County Gator Club serves two main purposes: connecting Gator alumni, family, and friends throughout Broward County through a variety of activities and networking events, as well as awarding scholarships to local high school seniors who will be enrolling at the University of Florida in the following academic year. Since its inception, the Broward County Gator Club has awarded more than $550,000 in scholarships, ensuring that the Gator Tradition lives on.

The Broward County Gator Club is run by a small team of volunteers, all who dedicate their free time to bringing a piece of Gainesville to South Florida.

The mission of the Broward County Gator Club® is to foster and enhance the relationship between the University of Florida, its alumni, students and friends in Broward County, and to support the University's mission to teaching, research and service. 

about the uf alumni association

The UF Alumni Association (UFAA) is responsible for a network of nearly 100 Gator Clubs® in Florida, across the U.S. and internationally, and is actively involved with the recruitment of superior students to attend UF. UFAA also hosts outreach programs that bring faculty and administrators on the road to carry UF's message to alumni and friends.

Reunion programs are also organized and conducted, bringing alumni back to Gainesville for the Grand Guard reunion, Gator Nation U, the Orange & Blue Tailgate, Outstanding Young Alumni Awards, the Gator Gala, and Gator Nation Tailgates before each home football game.
